United's youngsters put a tough season behind them on Thursday night when they grafted to earn an excellent draw against local rivals North Leigh.
North Leigh had only missed out on the title by a small margin and were expected to win comfortably but United's youngsters showed great heart and deserved more than the 2-2 draw they earned.
The goals for United came from Will Bridgewater and Lewis Stayte.

United suffered a heavy defeat last night at the hands of Aylesbury United as their difficult season in the Allied Counties North Division draws near its end.
Trailing 3-0 at the break they were unable to make any inroads and further goals saw United crash 7-0.

If you are missing your football following the end of the season for the First Team then look no further as United's Under 18s have two games coming up next week.
On Monday 12th April they will entertain Aylesbury United at Marriotts Stadium with a 7-45pm kick off. Then on Thursday 15th April they will host local rivals North Leigh on the training pitch at Marriotts Stadium with a 6-15pm kick off.
Entrance fee for both matches will be just £1 per person so why not come along and watch the youngsters complete their league season.

An absolute deluge of rain this afternoon put paid to the Under 18s latest Allied Counties North Division fixture.
The youngsters were scheduled to be playing Carterton tonight but torrential rain this afternoon left part of the Marriotts Stadium pitch under water and the match was postponed.
No new date has been set for the fixture as of yet.

Tony Checkly who is heavily involved with the Under 18s at Buckingham has been taken poorly abroad and the decision was taken to postpone the match.
All at Witney United FC wish Tony all the best and that he makes a speedy recovery.
08.10.07 county cup joy for united!!
There was some cheer for the Under 18s yesterday as they won 2-1 at Chesterton Juniors in the 1st Round of the Oxfordshire Youth Cup with goals from Calum Hazel (pen) and Lawrence Ashby.
They will now travel to Goring Robins in the 2nd Round.
There was also joy for the Under 16's who also won their first round tie at Chesterton winning 17-1.

The Under 18’s suffered further agony last night when they lost their first Allied Counties League fixture going down 3-2 at home to Abingdon Town.
United had raced into a two goal lead through Ryan Hunt and Kristian Thomas but Abingdon hit back to grab maximum points.

There was disappointment for United’s Under 18s last night as they bowed out of the FA Youth Cup at the 1st Qualifying Round stage.
They went down 6-0 at Milton United and also lost Ryan Hunt who was carried off with a neck injury on his 18th birthday.
We will update you with news on Ryan’s injury as soon as we have it but needless to say all at United wish him a speedy recovery.

United’s youngsters suffered disappointment last night when they bowed out of the League Cup at the first hurdle going down 5-0 to a strong Maidenhead United side.
Fielding a very young side Witney held their higher opponents for the first hour although the visitors did strike the woodwork on three occasions.
The deadlock was broken on the hour before a late flurry of goals saw the visitors through.
A date has now been set for the FA Youth Cup tie at Milton United. The tie will be played next Thursday 27th September at Milton Heights with a 7-30pm kick off.

United's Under 18s produced a good display last night when they fought out a 1-1 draw with Witney & District side FC Nomads in their latest friendly.
In an even contest Ryan Cooke got United's goal following an excellent move.
30-08-07 all change in the set-up!!
United can today reveal that there has been a change in the set up of the Under18s for the forthcoming season with the news that Paul Bircher has resigned due to work commitments.
After lengthy discussions with the Under 16s it has been agreed that Tom Amer and Wayne Oakey will take over the management of the side and will be assisted by the coaching team of Darren Teggart and Rob Pratley.
Amer was quick to praise the work of Bircher and said he was hoping to push things forward "Paul has done a great job over the years and we will keep him involved as we integrate the two sides. When we appointed Rob and Darren as coaches for the Under 16s we got two of the best coaches around in our opinion and now we are delighted to be able to pass that expert advice on to the Under 18s"
The new team played a 30 minute match against AFC Newbury last night and came away with an excellent 2-2 draw.
