13.02.10 ANI TREBLE AS UNITED HIT EIGHT!!

With the first team game postponed the youngsters earned a rest and made sure the first team squad got a run out to avoid two weeks without a game as they beat Clanfield 8-1.

The goals came from Ben Thompson, Ani Odihambo (3), Andrew Younie, Stuart Cattell and Gary Wickens (2)

12.02.10 RESSIES LOOKING FOR DERBY JOY!!

The Reserves are at home again in league action tomorrow when they entertain Clanfield in Reserve Division Two West at The Polythene UK Stadium.

The Robins have had a decent season so far with just two defeats in their opening seven league matches whilst United will be looking to put three points on the board and hoist themselves towards the top half of the table.

06.02.10 NO JOY FOR RESSIES AT HOME!!

United's Reserves went down to a 3-2 defeat in their first home match since September as they lost to Shrivenham with goals from Chris Zoldan and Cameron Lagan.

05.02.10 RESSIES HAVE HOME COMFORT AT LAST!!

For the first time this season in the league and the first time since early September the Reserves will enjoy a home match when they entertain Shrivenham at The Polythene UK Stadium!

A run of 10 away fixtures will end tomorrow with United knowing a win would lift them above their opponents in the league.

The two sides actually met just before Christmas when United squandered a 2-0 lead to finish drawing 2-2.

30.01.10 RESSIES IN TEN GOAL STUNNER!!

The Reserves were involved in an incredible affair this afternoon as they drew 5-5 with Launton Sports having led 3-0 before the break.

Goals from Lee Brown, Sam Wright and Chris Zoldan fired United in front but the home side hit back to make it 3-2 at the break but further goals from Wright and Zoldan were cancelled out by the home team for an amazing one point each.

29.01.10 RESSIES LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK!!

The Reserves will be looking to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow when they make the trip to face Launton Sports in the Reserve Division Two West.

Although three places seperate the two sides Sports are only two points in front of United so a win tomorrow for Darren Teggart's young side would see them climb above them in the table.

24.01.10 MCKINNON STRIKE IN VAIN!!

The Reserves went down to a 3-1 defeat yesterday at Cirencester Town with young striker Callum McKinnon grabbing United's goal.

22.01.10 TOUGH TEST FOR RESSIES!!

18.12.09 RESSIES FACE COLD TRIP!!

One thing you can be certain of tomorrow is that The Reserves will face one of the coldest tasks of the day when they entertain Hook Norton in the Reserve Divsion Two West at The Polythene UK Stadium.

The two sides have already met once on the opening day of the league season when United ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Cameron Lagan and Craig Mays.

12.12.09 ALL SQUARE AT SHRIVVY!!

The Reserves stopped their recent run of defeats with a 2-2 draw at Shrivenham this afternoon with goals from Chris Zoldan and Conor Allmond.

11.12.09 LEAGUE ACTION BECKONS!!

A strange headline you may think but tomorrow will see the Reserves play their first league fixture in over a month when they make the short trip to Shrivenham.

Both teams currently sit in mid-table with six points but Shrivenham have completed eight league fixtures and United only three.

United will be keen to stop the rot though which has seen them suffer three straight defeats.

Easington have also had plenty of cup action losing to Abingdon United (2-4) in the League Cup and in the Presidents Cup they have collected two wins against Clanfield (5-1) and Thame United (6-1) and suffered two defeats against Rayners Lane (0-2) and Shrivenham (0-3).
